The Perfect Pearls

Data and Privacy

Latest revision: October 31, 2026.

What follows lists what The Perfect Pearls learns about the people who use it and where it goes.

What we keep

Writing to us through the contact page gives us only what you put in the boxes.

Corrections and suggestions are stored so we can check them, plus whatever name you chose to leave.

Anything you publish here, like a rating or a tip, are saved and are visible while published.

To block double voting, a hash of the IP address is kept, and the address itself is thrown away.

We record simple tallies of tool use and outbound clicks, stripped of personal details.

As on any site, our hosting company records request data such as browser type and IP address, to spot attacks and fix faults.

Kept on your device

Our tools do their math inside your browser, and your figures are not sent to us.

Parts of The Perfect Pearls keep your recent entries in your browser for next time, and that is not sent to us.

Cookies and outside services

Looking around The Perfect Pearls needs no account, and does not rely on cookies we set.

If we switch on outside analytics, or ads, those services may set their own cookies, and your browser can refuse them.

Some links earn us a referral fee if you buy, and the store may set its own cookies.

Do you sell my data?

Nobody buys what we hold about you, full stop. Apart from the providers that keep The Perfect Pearls online, nobody gets your information unless a court or law demands it.

Your choices

To have your information changed or removed, contact pearls@theperfectpearls.com and we will handle it.

Children and updates

The Perfect Pearls is written for a general audience, so please let us know if a child has sent details.

When something here changes, the new version will appear here with the revision date.
